NYCU 2023 vol.07 NYCU Net-Zero Emissions by 2050
Abstract
※ President Chi-Hung Lin signed NYCU Net-Zero Emissions Statement
In response to the Sustainable Development Goals and climate change adaptation, NYCU has made efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions. President Lin has signed NYCU Net-Zero Emissions Statement to achieve the goal of zero carbon emissions on campus by 2050.

We provide a detailed report of the annual conference on Institutional Research and Sustainable Development Goals & University Social Responsibility held by CIRDA on Oct. 21st, 2022, and a brief overview of four major world university ranking results of NYCU.
※ Cross the Cross - TED x NYCU
This year‘s theme is “Cross the Cross”. Six speakers from diverse backgrounds and industries were invited to discuss topics such as social observation, science education, technology and community reshaping, 3D technology applications on social issues, Taiwan film and TV industry, and big data analysis. This event attracted nearly 100 participants.

- SDGs Research Highlights: The Seden Society Puppet Theater Foundation Collection and Research Team has made a documentary and published a book titled “Puppet Master: The History of Seden Society Puppet Theater.”
- NYCU x SDGs: SDGs Documentary about Eco-Friendly Dormitory Lifestyle. The activity invited eight YouTube creators to experience SDGs lifestyles on campus, using video to document and share the green lifestyle and experiences of dormitory residents. At the same time, a physical exhibition and video session were held, with a focus on eco-friendly dormitory lifestyle, recording details of sustainable dormitory life and promoting SDGs in daily habits.
